An Ancient Royal Headquarter
About:Ta Prohm (“Raja Vihara”) was the religious center of the Mahayana Buddhism. The king dedicated the temple to his mother posthumously. She was revered as Prajnaparamita of the Buddhist trinity. After the death of the royal triad the iconoclasts destroyed the temple.

An Ancient Military Base

What the iconoclasts could not transform into their own liking, they destroyed and rendered the temple useless, a typical example that most of Jayavarman's constructions were ransacked to uninhabitable state.
